I love when I look at my "currently reading" and don't recognize one of the books--- ususally because I opened it on accident on my Kindle!

I will finish this. though its only because of my hugo/nebula nominee goall

Interesting characterizations, no plot as of yet.

Cleaning up all the "currently reading" created by opening things on kindle. Might need to see if I can change the default on that.

The thing I love about short story collections by a single author is how you are reminded of the versitility of writing. Each story is a world unto itself complete bites of a different universe followed immediately by another so different in tone and theme but somehow complimentary.

oh the memories. I don't know how many ties Iread this book as a child. It was nice to revisit

I've always been a fan of alternate histories but I am really enjoying this one (fantasy alternative history) Rome never fell and the interplay between various cultures as well as the influence of magic and the 'godborn' (individuals descended from or chosen by the worlds gods) Bonus- one of the main characters is Judean so an interesting look at Jewish culture with no Diaspora.
