I'm irritated by the cherry-picked gender analysis in the 'a Side Note on Stigma' chapter. No mention of the very relevant fact that his example crimes: mass shootings and sexual abuse, are ones which have notably few female perpetrators. Then no mention of how women attempt suicide more frequently than men, but by less violent (& thus successful) means. Then he concludes that men are really hard done by... Piss off.
