Karen is reading The President and the Freedom Fighter: Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, and Their Battle to Save America's Soul
Kilmeade brings us an interesting look at history. Two uneducated men who respected one another but did not share a passion for freedom for quite some time.

Lincoln seemed to have come to agree with Douglas when the opportunity presented itself.

Karen is finished with In Another Time
I LOVE THIS AUTHOR! I have read several of Jillian Cantor's books and with each book the world stops and I am fully absorbed until I finish the book.

This is fiction, but the story is based on alot of historical facts. What a terrible time in history.

Karen is finished with Irena's Children: A True Story of Courage
What an amazing, courageous story. What a perfect example of how one person has the capacity to change the lives of many. Although Ireana does not accept the praise of people labelling her as brave and extraordinary, she believes the credit belongs to those that were part of the network that joined forces to save 2500 children. Apparently multiple networks. What these brave people withstood in order to survive.
