I love Jennifer Cruise but did the singer Kristy MacColl sponsor this book? Her music pops up almost every chapter.

I don’t know why I picked this up given how well the last Christine Feehan book went. And truly I should’ve learned my lesson. Something about a woman built genetically for seduction with needs she can’t control is just not it.

I'm a couple chapters in and I'm really surprised how much I'm enjoying this. I don't think I read the full description so I went in a little blind. Fun characters and I'm not minding the dual POV! The characters so far feel real but still fun. Interested to see where this goes.

Quit when I heard "And yeah he had taken things a little far but she hadn't exactly complained, she had gotten off - he hadn't. If anyone should be pissed off, it was him."

Ok my big problems so far:

- the cops running this showdown seem to be really bad at procedure and due process. Am I an expert in undercover investigations? No. But do I think there was enough evidence to warrant investigating her undercover? Also no
- Who falls in love with a man in a week? What is she basing this on? Call it what it is hon...lust.
- I think I might actually be a little upset if they end together

It took her way too long to be upset that he was dating her as an undercover cop and thought she could be a serial killer.

Really struggling to like this book but trying to persevere because its the book club pick for September.
