Once again, I have to realise I am not that much into narratives about motherhood. Still, Nà GhrÃofa challenges the singular motherhood narrative, not only by spectacularly interweaving her life story with EibhlÃn Dubh‘s to highlight the erasure of female voices and stories from Irish history. The writing is truly extraordinary, poetic and contemporary at the same time. Definitely a special read.
