Hoffentlich ist das endlich das Buch, dass neben reading slump beendet 🥹 einfach seit einem Monat kein Buch mehr gelesen, obwohl ich mehrere angefangen habe

Once again, I have to realise I am not that much into narratives about motherhood. Still, Ní Ghríofa challenges the singular motherhood narrative, not only by spectacularly interweaving her life story with Eibhlín Dubh‘s to highlight the erasure of female voices and stories from Irish history. The writing is truly extraordinary, poetic and contemporary at the same time. Definitely a special read.

Not really hooked by the story yet but I love how readable its short chapters are. Neurodivergent reading heaven. Still hoping for a big twist or revelation though.
