Well, I dont particularly like monologues.

Age of discretion.
The writing is really lovely, very fast engaging read. At the core this is a story about getting old. But it has so much more than just that basic theme. There's contemplation of long term familial relationships, insecurity, life change, how we rationalize the passage of time and with it the eb of our own lives.
