Brushing up on Vietnam history, hope to visit there soon.

I do love how Goodreads has every book I have downloaded or picked up to read. Incredible!

Planning a trip to Vietnam so doing some background reading. Hopefully this is a balanced history without bias or whitewashing.

Wow. epic in scope and scale! Fascinating in terms of past, present and future worlds, technology and people! Certainly the first two books in this series are required reading for this third one!

This is awesome sci-fi, loving it!

So this is a collection of short stories rather than the next instalment of the space series. So far they dovetail with his previous stories in both style, characters and general universe which is engaging so far.

It's crazy how different books of a series or author are either in borrowbox or overdrive! Ah well at least I finally found this one to kickstart or more correctly continue my current sci-fi binge

Found this on the Overdrive app! Had been waiting for it on borrowbox like the first two in this series but to no avail. Then tried Overdrive after a friend said they found it on there, so happily starting this book to get reinvigorated with reading and sci-fi! High hopes!

This is actually really timely with the geopolitical thriller elements of North Korea, India, China and Pakistan weaved in with a Trump like president. Feels like this book has taken the latest headlines and made a realistic plot from them.

I do love WW2 history, it is fascinating!

So far confirms what an idiot Churchill was.

I'm always interested in the way WW2 unfolded, how much was planned or improvised and how close the Nazi's were to winning if a few key decisions had been different.

The right wing conservative viewpoint of the author is continually referenced through his obsession for positive coverage of the war and the conservative government in the media and through polling statistics.

I'm going through a war history phase at the moment!

I was somewhat enjoying this until I just found the publisher is owned by Rupert Murdoch and now not so much. I hope news ltd goes broke!

Bit of a slog as apart from the documentary factual style I have not yet come across a plot or storyline.

Very topical in this day and age of social media and the moral and legal challenges faced by companies in this space.

Strong start, I'm keen to see where this goes.

Pretty much picks up where the first book left off so far. A reasonable beginning.

This book has piqued my interest despite the dogmatic religious overtones.

Typical Matthew Reilly, better than Great Zoo of China but feels like a rehash of previous books minus the technical and factual commentary that set his previous books apart.

Love Mother Russia and fascinated by her history especially in the sciences!

What a start! As I am addicted to Jalapeños and chilies, this is compelling so far!
