Great book. An interesting and fresh perspective on Ernest Hemingway from the first of his four wives.

Continued cool stories (kilimanjaro, etc), some a little off the deep end (psychics, body energy, etc).

I love Michael Crichton! His writing flows so well and the stories are interesting and touch on so many relevant topics. This first 80 pages of his autobiography are his medical school years at Harvard in late 60's/early 70's and many of the issues of modern medicine that ultimately contributed to his leaving the profession after medical school, i.e. patient centric medicine, consent, abortion access, DNR, etc.

These multi-book storylines are going to be the death of me. Just when you think there will be some closure, they end up having to chase another lead in a distant place. The "away from human eyes" battle between good and evil (vampires) is interesting, tied into the power that the Blood Gospel (the gospel of Jesus) holds (and the object they are searching after), is worthwhile enough to continue reading this.
