why do they keep looking into people library accounts to find their addresses and what they are borrowing? That's such an invasion of privacy?

this book was a personal attack on me.

I figured out why this book bothers me so much. Because it is about a woman who writes her life in a book (ie the book I am reading)and every other character is like IT IS SO AMAZING BEST BOOK EVER and the novel isn't good and it feels like the author patting themselves on the back and over-hyping their work. That's what bugs me about it.
