I’m not sure about this one. The world is so heavily sexist it’s off putting. The writing feels stiff, too. Like I know I’m reading the whole time and I never fall into the book world all the way.

WHY do romance main characters have to be traumatized and pathetic in some way? “My dad is mean to me and everyone here in this town loves me but I shirk them and seek approval from my real asshole dad because I’m worthless” pub-lease

Ok I still hate the writing and I am for real just skimming or skipping pages. It’s just so MUCH. The author is trying too hard to “write a book” and reading it feels like a chore. Buuut I’m actually a little curious how these traumatized silly people are gonna make this work.

Just trying to get to halfway so I can quit. I do not like the writing style at all
