Re-reading one of my all time FAVE historical romance books. Haven't read it since 2020 and it's time for me to revisit this masterpiece.

Re-reading this to see if I like it this time - it gets so many good reviews but I was bored by it years ago. We will see if my tastes have changed!

Diving into this one - finally getting more of my bby Jacks!! I hope the romance is a thousand times better than the caraval romances which were disgustingly insta-love.

I can already tell this book is going to be filler central with back and forth Casteel/Poppy fighting and sexing until we get a bit of plot at 90%. And speaking of plot, what is it exactly?

I thought to re-read this again - wow is Poppy TSTL near the end, my god. I want to shake the living hell out of her

3.5 stars - dragged in some parts and I don't think it needed to be that long. However, I enjoyed Aefe's storyline very much and I'm so intrigued by her and Caduan!

Also the ending had me hooked - I need a HEA pls after the depression of this entire book.

My last two reads have been awful please please please can this be good

Why has Fallon's personality become that of a petulant child? She is literally killing my brain cells one at a time. She has such growth in the first book and it's completely disappeared in this book. Please can we have more of a grown up 22 year old heroine and less of a 8 year old child.

I'm only reading this book for Finn and he's nowhere to be seen. What is this hell I'm being put through?

God forbid I have to read about Abriella saying she's 'OnLy a HuMaN' one more time

I honestly have no idea what's going on. Nothing has happened so far.

Why does every man in this story think she is ugly at first, and even on second thoughts still thinks she's ugly, but he still just can't *possibly* look away?

Third time reading this as now all the books are out in the trilogy I want to read them all because this is one of my favourite books of all time.

Omg this book has me hometown castle of Dunnottar in it!!! It's already gone up in my estimations.

I know I said I wouldn't read any duets/trilogies/series which weren't finished anymore but I just can't resist reading this now. I'm too excited.

I'm nearly halfway through this book and literally nothing, and I really do mean nothing, has happened. She has done sweet f all to find her sister yet and all they talk about is how hot they think the other is.

I feel a DNF coming on.....

I'm really not having the best time with books just now - I can't find anything that keeps my attention. DNF at 35%

I need to learn to let books go when I'm not feeling them and I'm not really feeling this. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not grabbing my attention. I might come back to it another time but with so many books to read I just can't bring myself to continue at this point
