I am going to start re-reading this soon as I kept stopping and starting it.

I've really missed reading Cornelia Funke, you can really see her writing style in this. So far I am really enjoying the worlds that are being created. And the characters! There was ALOT of world building at the start. Can't wait to carry on reading after work about the house of the witch...

So, I've nearly finished this and I can't help feel there's so many cliches already. I like the story line but the world building just seems MEH.

I think it's taken me about seven chapters to get into this book
