Geli is 50% done with Heretic: Why Islam Needs a Reformation Now
Very good so far, but a glaring error on pages 138-139 where the author mentions "witch-burning in Massachusetts".

Excellent book so far, it's nice to read about the Tudor monarchy from a feminist perspective. Enjoyed the author's interview with Natalie Dormer, I have a whole new respect for the actress who really brought the character of Anne to life.

Also, the recipe for Lady Mary's Crab Canapes calls for CANNED crab. I guess that would make them Crap Canapes!

Just read the appetizer section. Not impressed so far. As it's an "unofficial" Downton Abbey book, they likely aren't allowed to use pictures from the show, but they could at least have pictures of the food! Cookbooks should have photos of at least some of the finished recipes. This one does not have a single picture.

Good book so far about forgotten American killers. I was pleased to see one of John Stark Bellamy's books quoted within the story about Emeline Meaker!

Re-reading an old favorite, probably been about 20 years since I first read this one.

Finally finished with this book! I think the only masochist involved in this read was me. Not planning to read the sequels.

I have to give the author a little bit of credit, she actually advocated getting children vaccinated. Other than that, not much has improved. The latest "scene" between the main characters was marginally better than the previous ones, but just barely.

Oh, and I'm now on page 250, and the kinkiest thing that has occured so far is that the Mr. Grey has tied our heroine's hands with a necktie. *YAWN* I predict that in another 100 pages the hardest core B&D I'll have read will involve whipped cream and spanking. Soft limits, indeed.

*Spoiler alert* Once I got to page 150 I decided to count the number of times our heroine blushed. From page 150 to 200, she blushed 12 times. I came close to vomiting an equal number of times. I stopped counting after page 200. From what I've heard, if one has a Kindle, it will keep a count of the blushes, gasps, and other redundancies in the novel. Fun with technology!

I suppose I should say *spoiler alert* before writing anything more about this literary classic. As of page 145, there have finally been a couple sex scenes, all very vanilla. The writing hasn't gotten any better; this remains 2-handed reading.

I'm already sick of the main character. She blushes on about every 3rd page. Naturally, she's a virgin. 50 shades of boring.

50 pages into the book and so far not a single ounce of smut. Plenty of sub-par writing, however. Tired-ass, hackneyed story line and characters too.
