There are many books marked "read" that I am not satisfied with my understanding of. Bottom line, philosophy and the very technical requires close reading and large chunks of otium. At least for me.

On the second reading. Highly original articulation of Bacon's paintings that begins with their basic arrangement and increasingly abstracts from them into a strange philosophy of all painting. Anything is fair game for concept construction: literature, music, medicine, linguistics, film, even synthesizers are trotted out to aid in thinking.

Bitten off more than I can chew. I know the Critique inside and out; the French lunatics, not so much. I will come back to them.

Five week core Heidegger mastery. Dreyfus, Richardson, BT, BP, KPM. No fiction. Yes black coffee.
