I checked this out from the library and regret it because there are so many sentences to underline and pages to bend. Stunning prose (duh), but so many lessons and knowings that resonate and hit deeply. We’ll be buying my own copy.

It took awhile for me to warm up to McCarthy’s writing and the approach, but I’m now on a delightful 3 essay run that I know I’ll have to run back. Highly recommend this book off the « To Make a Poet Black » and « Notes on Trap » essays alone.
