I can’t seem to search any book from LJ Shen’s Costal Elite series. Is it just me?? With the re-release of Sophie’s Surrender as Surrender with the added Aubrey POV at the end I’m left wondering WTF is going on…

I’m constantly confused by all the 20 and 30 somethings in Romance that are written with all the flair of hormonal teenagers but high school aged characters are hardcore 40 somethings with full arm tats, jaded black hearts, and the weary weight of ennui and disenchantment.

I think I’m getting to the age where the “boys” on the cover of bully trope books are too young for me to be adding to my covegasm shelf without feeling a teensy bit squicky.
