Sort of started reading this by accident and now I am obsessed with it and I can neither focus on my finals nor can I properly move into Christmas mode so that’s not good.

Officially decided to stop reading. Didn’t really enjoy it at all. I was surprised since everyone seems to love this book but turns out my sister felt the same way. I found it hard to distinguish whether the weird jumps in thought and dialogue were because I kept getting distracted or because the main character was “going crazy”. I found it hard to relate to Esther even before her mental decline. Not a fan.
