A classic cocktease, the plot took far too long to develop, and by the end it felt as though the author rushed to tie everything together. I was especially disappointed with the final pages, which relied on a predictable ending that has been overused. The one aspect I did appreciate was the unique plot twist, although even that became fairly easy to anticipate given the main character’s fixation on the patient.
