Ah shit, here we go again

This book is bad, and if I wasn't trying to avoid reading Shrek smut, I would've DNF'd it.

It's good and interesting, but I think it needs a subtitle change. I think "Fen Big & Swamp: An Anthropogenic History" would be more fitting.

Really intriguing so far, I like the structure of the story. So far none of the fatigued tropes that you may encounter in old sci-fi like this.

So far... Man learns empathy and that there is more to life than just work from a 17 year old girl

I was starting to think, "Huh this is pretty slow", but the wheels are starting to turn

Pretty good so far, it's developing differently than I thought it would but still intriguing.

So far, it's like a sci-fi fantasy mishmash which is intriguing, enjoying it!

So far this is very "popcorn" sci-fi, but I'm waiting for it to turn on its head.

I love Teixcalaan, I wish Nineteen Adze was real

This book has been an odd one, definitely a great case study on how books used to be written not so long ago. As far as enjoyment it's pretty middle of the road for me at this point.

I've been enjoying my reread a lot, it's been fun to discover all the little hints that I missed the first time around. Although, I for sure forgot about the pace of this book, it is definitely slow. And while I enjoyed that the first time around, I've found myself wanting to hit those key story beats sooner.

Long overdue for a reread

I'm pretty on the fence with this book, I enjoy the story and the setting but the main character can be exhausting sometimes. That being said I'm still looking forward to finishing it and tying up some lose ends.

This has been such a grabbing collection of stories so far, excited to read them all
