Still enjoying this.

I'm really enjoying this story so far. Jamie and Olivia are likable characters, and the mysterious business (spoiler free) is curious enough that I wanna know more.

I'm so pleased. I've been reading shitty books lately. Lol

I borrowed this from my library and returned it almost immediately. Lol

Three pages in, and I already see how this author likes a run-on sentence. Period are okay. There ate at least 2 commas in every sentence on the first 3 pages.

I know this is nitpicking but shit like this is what trips me up when reading. I've forgotten how the sentence started before we even get to the end.

Meredith has had one positive interaction with this man and yet she still can't stop throwing herself at him? Girl, whet?? He's MEAN.

Maybe she has a degradation k!nk.

I find Meredith to be weak. She can not think much of herself if she keeps finding herself attracted to and wanting to act on that attraction sith someone so fucking mean to her. STAND UP, NIECE!

Yeah, Nick is not charming. I dont like him

I dont find Nick to be likable. I can't recall if I felt this way the first time I read this or not.

The non-sex pages are infinitely more interesting than the sex scenes.

So they finally stopped having sex for 40 pages and 40 nights and I find it incredibly hard to suspend reality and be invested in whats happening on the pages. Its too much way too soon.

I understand this 'wedding night' is supposed to be a big deal, but it's really being dragged out. Its a lot going on for two strangers.

I was NOT expecting the Pee-You-Ess-Ess-Why word. Not put off by it but it is certainly new to me in these historical romance books.

I can dig it.

Verity getting so upset about her brother's apprenticeship this late in the game is giving very obvious plot device, but Im not gonna hold it against Vivienne....this time. Lol
