getting into it

ok so i think im gonna try and finish this book but not read the rest of the series. let's see how far i can get thru this chunky thing until the last day i can pick up toni morrison's beloved from north park branch...

think i’m gonna DNF this book when my next one gets to the library and is ready for pickup 🙈

i’m pissed off! i don’t like when the whole plot is that between friends one of them is the leader and can be malicious and the other friend is the loyal follower without their own brain.. plot that’s TOOOO freaking common

forgot i’ve read this before but i think i shall keep going

so hype for this!!!

there are 116 short stories in this novel and i’m losing steam

love the writing but haven't been prioritizing reading over the past couple weeks! this is a book containing fictional short stories all about TRAVEL. some of the short stories are only half a page so i feel it's getting a bit repetitive, but im liking it.

this book already has me hooked! as an incoming Master of Urban Planning student with a strong background in environmental science i'm all about this stuff. literally have only read the introduction but i'm soo pumped. i really appreciate that it's so easy to read and comprehend. so many urban planning books are the blueprint's of today's foundational work yet are difficult to read and understand (sorry jane jacobs!)

"Everything is only for a day, both that which remembers and that which is remembered. Observe constantly that all things take place by change, and accustom thyself to consider that the nature of the universe loves nothing so much as to change things which are and to make new things like them. For everything that exists is in a manner the seed of that which will be."

so yummy

mixing in some audiobooking bc this book is so damn long

“There are no ugly questions except those clothed in condescension.”
