very verbose

I love it so much. It's a letter to his mother and it is fond and reflective and heartrending.

So far it's standard ya fantasy fare. Just waiting for it to get somewhere while the clearly slated romantic lead behaves utterly irrationally even within the confines of the universe being woodenly explained.

Reading this out of order was a mistake. I deserved the judgement I got for it.

Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. The Prose is to die for. It's pithy and insightful and flows so beautifully. A lot of medical and scientific names and jargon that slots into the not exactly stream of consciousness So Well. Already a must buy.

the writing's drunk. it sputters like gaslight.

it's slow going and strangely unexciting when the focus falls onto the little sister who is of course the most powerful wizard but also woefully unprepared for wizardry. The writing is solid and consistent but the subject matter and pacing is...lacklustre.

As stellar as the audiobook is, the voice actor is superb. I have to say it improves greatly upon reading it yourself instead of having it read to you.

This is a decidedly strange book that is in line but out of it for Bray. Thoroughly discombobulated.

The Threefold World by Ellen Kushner is a treasure. it knocked the breath right out with the last line.
