Phil Kelley is on page 33 of 698 of The Portable Bernard Shaw
I am reading this in conjunction with Holroyd's 1-vol bio on Shaw. This book does not contain much of Shaw's early writings, so I have not read much of it yet. I am looking forward to reading the plays to see how much modern productions vary from the original.

I am in the middle of Rokeby. These epic poems are really great if you are at all interested in Medieval and/or Scottish history. Scott's poetry is really good in the old fashion rhyming metrical sense - in other words, he sings. I have two bookmarks - one for where I am in the text and another to help me access the notes quickly; you need the notes and a good dictionary!

Phil Kelley is on page 270 of 680 of Oscar Wilde
I have already read this straight through one time. I am reading it again more slowly. I am reading this as part of my study of "The Double Decade - 1885 through 1905" (aka the 1890's). I am really enjoying this very thorough biography. I am have a lot of fun researching the art and people mentioned, the classical and literary references, and the places named.

I am having a really hard time getting through this book. I am not sure I want to finish it. After an interesting start, it is basically the same scene repeated over and over. It has sat on the shelf through most of the summer so far.

Phil Kelley is starting 389 Chorales for SATB Voices with German text
This is a book of sheet music, so it is not something you actually read cover-to-cover. My intention is to analyze the chord structure of each chorale and play the chords on my guitar.
