this book is just wildly traumatic for no reason

there’s literally no reason for this book to be this bad. i’m 106% sure this is defined as a war crime by the geneva convention.

DNF at 20%. i’m sorry because i wanted to like this for so many reasons. i saw a review that said this book felt like therapy and it forced them to ask a lot of hard questions about why they felt unlovable and that’s exactly my kind of pop psychological romance. but this book reads like a stream of consciousness and i hate all the characters so i’m calling it.
