Mixed feelings about this one. It kept me engaged, and I looked forward to picking it up. Given there is some historical basis to the story, I went down a Willowbrook rabbit hole. I love a rabbit hole. However, it was predictable and poorly written. So I’d give it 3.5 ⭐️s.

I had not heard of One Taste prior to reading this book, and it has inspired me to do a deep dive into cult life in general. Though I liked the investigative journalist writing style, I did find parts of the book to be a bit redundant, but I guess cults establish a pretty redundant pattern.
