This is so enjoyable

I honestly don't think i have ever been as disturbed and upset by the human body as I have while reading this. Deeply, deeply horrifying in a way that makes me feel physically sick. I don't know if I can face finishing this.

Barely halfway through this and there have already been more explosive diarrhoea / public defecating than I would ever have imagined it necessary for a collection of short stories to contain

Third POV character has arrived at last ... and guess what? SHE'S NOT LIKE THE OTHER GIRLS why can V E Schwab only write like one type of female character

Really trying to enjoy this but the present tense narrative is driving me insane - it very much reads like a YA vampire novel, and seems like a strange choice when so much of the story is set very much in the past. Hoping the second half of the book will pick up.

Why won't this end or at least become a tiny bit interesting

This is terrible. But I was promised sapphic vampires so I shall bravely soldier on.

No clue where this is going or if I'm even enjoying it but I can't stop a) finding reasons to bring it up in conversation and b) slathering all my food in obscene amounts of butter

Being a nun sounds bloody terrible. Also, I hate the way this is written. Seems distant and lacking in emotion. Cannot connect with the story at all. V disappointing.

Emotional and very subtly creepy so far. Getting Annihilation kind of vibes? V into it.

An excellent book to start Spooky Season with. Just the right amount of creepy! (Probably cos it is aimed at 10 year olds haha)

I am finding myself very much enjoying the comforting repetitiveness of the prose. The plot is also very soothing and cosy, big Stardust vibes.

I thought this was going to be a Lighthearted Summer Read but it is actually pretty bleak and feels extremely long.

Not finishing this. Love the idea but not really vibing with the writing style. May try this again as an audio later down the line.
