Wonderful book, possibly written with me in mind. It follows the family from Sandwich but is also a fine stand alone. You’ll laugh out loud.

Thank you Edelweiss for the EARC of this absolutely great Spenser book. I wasn’t sure initially, something about the cadence (which is so important with Spenser) but that disappeared and the ultimate story arrived.

No one can imagine Henry V111’s reign as well as Philippa Gregory, well perhaps Hilary Mantel gives her a run for the money. This book fills in the fictional details about all the courtiers in previous novels.

Ploddingly dull

Thank you Edelweiss for this ARC of the best book I’ve read in 2025. I hope is crosses all genres and becomes a classic.

I am of that era and I wish I liked this more but I would suggest it.

Excellent memoir with some excellent information mixed in with laugh out loud moments. This is what a memoir should be.

Interesting,informative but not particularly dynamic.

A return to the Games with Haymitch. The book we needed.

Heartbreaking and optimistic. No one but John Green could present this issue in such a (possible )hopeful manner for the future. We don’t deserve John Green.

Not at all what I expected and I’m pleasantly surprised.

Ugh. It goes on and on and on and who cares about any of them?

Thanks to Edelweiss for this ARC of one the best books I’ve read this year. I hope it’s a huge success and that schools will make sure each library and classrooms have copies.

I’ve read so many Bletchley based novels and this middle grade tome is really one of the best. Not just for young adults under any circumstances.

Never disappoints

Disappointing. I feel as if Molly’s personality was changed in order to make this story work.

Riverside is my hometown and the reason I read this book but you should read it no matter where you’re from. Great story which deserved to be told.

Old Timey disaster book/screenplay, you can see it unfold on the screen in your head. Scott Brick is a natural for the audio narration but if you’re an Orphan X fanatic it’s difficult get his Nowhere Man voice out of your head.

Adding this series to my list.

So far I wish every one of the short stores would be made into novels. Every. One.

I always have to tell myself while reading historical fiction that the bigger situation might be true but the individual situations likely aren’t. Nevertheless, the reputations of these authors impressed me enough to kick back and just enjoy.

I was today years old when I discovered there a Orphan X short story books! Now to track them all down.

Surprised at how beautifully written this book is and manages to define and show the massive abuse without going into gory detail. That takes talent. MIchelle Williams masters the narration.
