I'm close enough to the end to be confindent in saying THE TITLE IS A LIE!!! IT'S NOT A ROMANTIC COMEDY!!!

The people who recommended this when I was looking for romcom novels that are actually funny and more akin to romcom movies/manga I think either have zero taste in comedy or didn't actually read it.

It does nail how terminally unfunny SNL sketch ideas are though.

It's beyond peep show cringe at this point. Jez eating the dog is fundamentally more believable than almost anything that's happened in the middle section of this novel.

I started off loving this novel and frankly now I get why people hate it as well. There's an amazing core that is actively harmed by the rest of the novel.

It's deeply unpleasant to read as I'm really bad at cringe, and some of that is at Kaung.
