prva knjiga gotova.

Well...this is a wild ride, considering I only read 15% of the first book in a series of six (for now), and I already felt compelled to write a comment about it being ''a wild ride''. We shall see.
Please don't pull a GRRM. In both number of books and s*itload of characters.

I am prepared to grapple with the ineffable. I think.

There are storytelling tropes and genre stereotypes, and then there's Bacigalupi with his narrative pacing that I can't pinpoint but it's great. He knows how to build worlds, and he expects you to knows things about your own while you read. I googled this novel a bit and it seems like there's a new category - ''cli fi'' - which would be climate fiction.

Ok. One last effort, I still have half a book. I am getting older, and more adamant in opposing the four hundred billion pages of fantasy. If nothing, it's summer again, and I can maybe finish it now. Famous last words.

I didn't bring my brain with me for the first 30 pages and the book kicked me in the ass. Halfway through, can already say it's going to be a cult favourite.

Oudševljava me ovaj lik iako pola vremena nemam pojma o čemu priča, pogotovo kad upadne u mod EKONOMIJAEKONOMIJA, ali iznenađujuće i neočekivano pitko štivo, baš zanimljivo.

pretpostavljam da je to Murphyjev zakon, da jednopredmetni kolegiji za literaturu imaju knjige od 500+ strana.
