I have decided that for my sanity, I'm never coming back to this dumpster fire of a series.
Enough is enough.

At this point I just want to pluck my eyes out.

The more I force myself to finish it, the more I want to tap out.

This book feels like one giant filler but is flat as a pancake.
There's no depth in the characters, and nothing significant is happening whatsoever.
Imagine reading 416 pages that say nothing to the plot... Goodness I can't wait to move ON with something else.

Something peculiar happened...
I started caring about this story. Which kinda bothers me, because the first 10% was driving me off the wall. What other surprises are in store for me?
Keep calm and read on...

Maybe in two days this nightmare will be over and I'll have skipped throwing this to the DNF pile.

This is so boring I'd rather watch paint dry. The writing is clunky, the heroine is off-putting... Why am I still reading this.

On kindle this is 501 pages. Just finished chapter#1 and it was 23 pages long.
If someone had bothered to edit 10 pages of senseless repetitive drivel out of chapter #1 the story might start to reach a point.
Already bored and it's not looking good...

There had better be 150 pages of groveling in here...

How can there possibly be 32 chapters before the half-mark of this book... Nobody freaking edited this??

Reading this I'm having flashbacks popping off by a novel from Lorelei James I read some 15 years ago... One-night stand w/ cowboy leading to pregnancy. Her trying to track down the baby daddy who stays away unaware for more than a year, ending up co-parenting and him working in close proximity to win her back...
Ding ding ding! "Tied Up, Tied down"
Same plot, huh...

what a bunch of drama queens... this is drama for the sake of drama...

Oh My God every time Kristoff leads the narrative and speaks with Lothaire about Furie I'm getting heart attacks... I'm going to need a sedative to get through this but I wouldn't dare numbing down the fireworks in my chest!

Sweet baby Jesus I'm melting... All the angst. All the feels. Stellar conflict.

This is a struggle... I hate the heroine and her stupidity, I hate her twin that's even more stupid, I hate the oversimplified society of this worldbuilding, the fact that "Immortal" faeries are not well fledged out at all. Exactly how old is this heroine to go to school with other "Immortal" noble fairies that hate mortals with a passion and try to assassinate her not once, not twice but three times with impunity?

is this plot going anywhere... i hate everything about this book, and the heroine most of all!

Oh my, what a train wreck... I've been really trying to show patience lately with some less than absolute nitwits passing for heroines, but this one takes the cake. This girl is an absolute disaster.
