About 70% complete with audio. I am really enjoying. My Nana (grandma) loved FDR and as such he and Eleanor Roosevelt have always been hero’s to me.

It’s fascinating to learn more about their impact on the people of color. My Nana also shared her pride in this fact with FDR.History curriculum in the 80’s did not cover this.

This is a wonderful piece of historical fiction so far. I can’t wait to finish!

4 hours in. 26% complete. There are facts and history but is lacking “heart” or an emotional connection to the material. I’m in my car a lot so am going to continue listening but I wouldn’t be surprised if I DNF (did not finish).

First Stephen King read. At the 52% complete mark - 16 hours of audio on Chapter 17. I don’t love it or hate it. BUT I do hate the graphic violence/gore which my Stephen King loving friends said this book didn’t have. Not sure I will continue at this point.

Listening on audio. I love that some of it is read by RBG. I am also looking forward to listening to historical recordings.

This is not at all what I expected. Others had recommended it, repeatedly. My perception was someone that created a year of yes that had the privilege of wealth to say yes.

Engaging. I am enjoying getting to know Grace. I absolutely love books that have recipes scattered within as part of the story.

Generations:. Written from a Baby Boomers perspective and resonated with this Generation xer.

"Time is the new luxury these days" This book encourages you to breathe, relax and stop multitasking. I love the first activity - notecards for your beautiful moments. It encourages you to "celebrate those everyday things that make you happy for no reason at all"

I had three today.

This is a book to savor. It is ideal for the ice cold weather in Michigan. I'm slowly reading and enjoying, I don't feel the need to rush to the end but find the pace of the book is encouraging me to relax and enjoy the journey of the story.

a little stagnant in the middle as it focuses on Sutters family and relationship with his wife. I also wish he wasn't gratuitously using "capisce" now. Sutters wit and charm does not need it. I'm glad the storyline is picking up speed again. still enjoying!
