Like honestly how has Lydia not jumped to the conclusion her sister might have to sell herself for their survival. How is falling in love the more obvious conclusion FFS.

The MCS are growing on me- not enough that I actually recall their names- but Lydia annoys me. She's got her heads in the clouds for someone who praises herself on being more observant than others.

Hrmmm- I think the heroine is so stubborn in her plight to not fall in the clutches of Rohan, it's bordering on TSTL. On one hand it's understandable on the other she says all this rash/impassioned outrage that she later laments is completely opposite her sensible, practical menu.

Also I understand why merlin is so hostile- runs with the Arthur/ Guinevere / Lancelot theme but he's so fucking icky. Like seriously it's irritating to add a supernatural mystique element into an otherwise completely contemporary book. Also old men being hostile to young girls make me want to run them over with a tractor. Have pianos dropped onto their heads. Begone merlin. Shoo.

Reading a preview/sample for this and I cannot wait!!! (Ngl I'm not a huge fan of anj so far tho- she seems so... unaware and entitled in that tumblr way. The one where it's like "I can totally get away with being inconsiderate because I'm x and y etc.")

The thing with contreras's books, I spend the first half or so completely irritated with the hero. They're always so... entitled. I always sympathise more with the heroines. #unpopular opinion

Disappointing. I was looking forward to this due to all the teasers and banners. Everything is so frustrating. The heroine. The heroes. The slut shaming (albeit not by anyone other than the heroine's internal monologue). Everything is so very eye roll worthy- I am concerned mine are about to fall out of my head.

Not a fan of hotheaded characters. Rolled my eyes so hard about the fight scene between Jamie and Reese. I thought that was ridiculous.

I love the role reversal in this. Side eye to the dubious consent though.

Very satisfying to watch Akira taking down her ass of a father. I would also have liked him to lose all his money and suffer public humiliation. I'm vindictive like that.

Akira is the greatesttttttt. Not sure why I'm not 100% digging Jacob. But their dynamic is great. I love how it's developed.
