Wow. Already blown away by how amazing the first story was.

“The gray sky is a smear, a Neuromancer Sky, dead and anachronistic.”

Love the explicit reference to probably the only description of the sky I remember clearly from any book.

How weird is it to start a book by one of your favorite authors and realize it’s set where you grew up?

Devils Rock is in Borderland. You can literally follow the trails mentioned. The main town is Ames (Easton, mostly, but parts of Sharon are described as part of Ames as well like Ames Street Playground - Ash Street in the novel)

It’s surreal to read fiction with clear descriptions of places you know so well.

I’ve been interested in this book for a while but completely forgot about it until my library hold for it came up. A surprisingly apt choice for MLK day.
