Emme is around 19 years old. Emme's best friend from back home is a doctor. So either Emme's best friend is much older or this author did not think whatsoever during the writing process.

I'm only on page 17 and the flaws are thick, so I figure I'll start my review as I go– if I even finish this book.

Emme is a slut *hm mm cough* I mean modern woman. I almost forgot, women are supposed to be at the top of the food chain now and they exhibit that status by engaging in "hook-ups" and shunning relationships. Toss your moral hat to the wind 👋🏼 I am woman.

I haven't read the book yet but I swear I saw this subject matter on an episode of Law & Order

Well, school started for my kids this week, and I homeschool, so I haven't been able to dedicate much time to reading yet. It's been slow going.
Not because of the book!! I wish I could read 24/7! So far I'm liking the story. I really like the concept, that's why I started reading this.

I'm in chapter 7, its going back and forth between the peddler, Jean, and the the grief stricken woman, Celeste.
