I was really hoping I'd get this finished tonight, because it is SO GOOD and now overdue. I have tried, but I'm so tired, it just keeps hitting me in the face. I guess I'll have to finish tomorrow. It is a really great, well researched and informative read about this little piece of Kew Gardens history.

I have to return this book to the library tomorrow. Fingers crossed I'll finish it on time! So far, I really am enjoying how in depth into the history of Kew Gardens the author is going. It really helps puts Kitty's story in context.

Looking forward to reading this one. Every time I hear someone scream outside, I think of Kitty.

I need to take a break from this for a minute. It's really good and very interesting, but it's a pretty heavy read.

This book is so good and so interesting. The trouble is, every time I pick it up to read I fall asleep. Must be my own laziness...I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in midwifery and history in the East End during the '50s. The PBS show is amazing, but doesn't give these stories justice. So. Good.
