oh god. the dread

i wish i was enjoying this more 3 but there are too many pov characters and they all sound the exact sameeeee. it feels like there’s never enough time with a particular character to genuinely build tension and atmosphere… but maybe ill change my mind once things really pop off

i’m enjoying slowly working my way through this book, and every time i pick it up i feel like... a sense of wonder. i just paused in the middle of the chapter on black ash baskets to watch some videos about the process she just described, and it was really cool to actually see it!

paul and julian are so deranged god bless. also i cant help but love the writing style of this book
