Mesmerized.. so much so that I can't focus on school work. Zadie Smith is one of those authors who deconstructs human interaction, makes you want to take notes for how to act culturally responsively and with polity, then instantly makes you scratch out those notes because who says that's effective, genuine or right? It's a whirlwind of deeply-satisfying prose and thought-provoking, real characters.
