VE Schwab, Vampires, AND multi-voice narration including Julia Whelan ?!! Heaven for me!! Heard the review on Libro.fm podcast and immediately downloaded for vacation.

I am eating a delightful almond croissant this morning at the suggestion of this delightful book.

I also forgot how much I adore Julia Whalen's narration. & I want to be able to say "croissant" so magically as she does. Alas, only the song with my name is French.

Thanks Monique for making me aware of this! Cults have been a guilty pleasure since watching Patricia Heart on TV as a tween. So far just as fascinating as I hoped!

I was today years old when I learned the plural of octopus is octopuses, because you can't put a Latin ending on a Greek word, ie octopi.
Loving this book. Kept putting it off because I was told I will never eat calamari again after reading this... I get it!

I want to share that I love this book, I think it's brilliant and so informative. It also gets my blood boiling on a regular basis, so I keep on having to stop before my head explodes. Thank you Heather for your nightly emails and for this book. To be continued.

omg sooooooo great. Started last night and couldn't put it down. Forced myself to stop and go to bed past midnight (very late for me!!) and had a dream about being a prisoner in a Russian takeover - being held hostage (on a cruise ship ?!?) with no reason / explanation - and selling goods & shares of our company to help others (& our family). LOL! (not a spoiler, just a weird book-inspired dream!)

Glad I will have electronic AND paper version of this important book - Even just after finishing Chapter 1 so far, there is already so much important info to reference, so many heartbreaking stories to know!

my first book of Mary Oliver poems - matter of fact, probably the first book of poetry I've read since college if not high school.

This is now my favorite audiobook ever - so well done! HIGHLY recommend listening to the unabridged production if you're interested in "reading" this book!
