Just got to the Pit Crew chapter and this might be the best history book I've ever read. It's informative, it's funny, it's got everything.

I've always loved the Pit Crew because how many shows do we get hot mensses? Almost none. I don't want hot ladies to go away! I just also want the Pit Crew. But now knowing about the rise of muscle men from freak shows to spank banks to the "ideal" male form. Fascinating.

Cute but kind of depressing.

This isn't a short story collection, but it makes me think I've been wrong about short stories. collections. And I should read them.

Got my physical copy of Tempt Me in the mail!!! So hard to put down to try and go to sleep, but I'm an "adult" and need "sleep". Sigh.

I'm loving it. I hope to have a collection of Julie Cooper novels on my shelf one day.

I'm having trouble with the differences... I would love if I hadn't practically memorized the first version.

Gutted. But I'm still super loving this book. I went through a bunch of reviews to find spoilers (sadly lacking), and found some people complaining about it not being a spy novel. I guess they like more fictional books and less historical books. I love some of the historical spy stuff in this. Like dressing for a mission with attention paid to the pocket litter (receipts, trash, pens, candy, etc real people have).

We need more Soviet Union in United States lessons on World War II. The sacrifices and the suffering, the bravery and the tragedy, we need to learn more about it.

Also, this book is reinforcing the idea to me how bad it is to have leaders that only like listen to information that is palatable to their worldview.

Also, I need to read more books about Eastern Europe and Western Asia. I know nothing.

This book is a relaxing read after having spent the past few days worrying about Trump. But I can't control that stuff, so I will study the past and how we survived when we shouldn't have.

Agatha Christie I know you are manipulating me into feeling like Hastings and it is brilliant and I hate it.
