Change of Heart (The Potentate of Atlanta, #3)
I don't know if I should go on or let go of this series, after the utter disaster the last book has been.

A landmine being set up overnight on asphalt? It just isn't feasible.
Ok ok, moving on.

The city of Savannah was found in 1733 (and America itself dates 1492 at least), there can't be "young" vampire clans founded six or seven centuries ago. And I doubt we are talking native american vampires here.
Oh well, poetic licences and all that.

…“like water off a duck's back”
WHY do I have to imagine ducks now!?
Overabundance of annoying similitudes apart, this is so badly written I don't know if I should go on and hope it gets better or not.
There's a lot of confusiong stuff being just thrown in your face without explanation. And then, when you are ready to give up, there are pages and pages of boring explanations.

The ratio of metaphors/similitudes per period is just too damn high 😅
"Blisters the size of small children": this is the worst of them all, so far 😅😂

In every one of these books, someone ends up maimed, or somewhat disabled. In this one we have a lot of people amputated and a little fox with neurological issues. This last is the one that gets to me the most :/

Out of all the heroines penned by Elise Kova, I think I like Eira the least. I'm skimming this last book just to see hiw this all ends 🙄

It's all so very childish… it's the first time I've ever considered to DNF a book by Elise Kova.

I'm very annoyed by all this fixation with the outfits. It's so inconsequent and meaningless, so childish.
And I'm downright disturbed by all the times the protagonist is being dressed and put on display like she was a doll.

I'm not comfortable with the fact that *all* the women in this book are implicitly portrayed as anti-abortionists. Especially because their circumstances would realistically bring them to be the opposite.
They are being raped or coerced to prostitute themselves, but it looks like they all would like to bring their pregnancies to term. It makes sense that at least one of them would actually want an abortion. I would.

Forgive me for being a bit crass here, but don't you ever wash up after taking a shit!? Gross gross GROSS GROOOSS!

Well, sooner or later I'll have to acknowledge that me and Pippa Dacosta are just not meant to be.
This series is all a huge love triangle from hell and the more I go on, the more I'd like to bitch slap the heroine.

In 99% of the cases, short dresses with high boots are just tacky. This heroine has no fashion sense.
(She’s also s bit TSTL, but that’s less bad)

He’s liking the bloody stump where her pinky finger has ben cut, and there’s sexual tension in that.
Ugh.
No no this is so gross… I draw the line right here, and I’m going to skip a few pages.
