I hate both of them. they're both pick me's, with different approaches to pick meism. as much as I try to remember that they're just trying to survive a male society, as i read I keep wondering who I hate the most. and since I don't like them, this feels like learning all the gossip about people you hate 🌸💖🦄

the author is sooo in love with eve babitz, who seems to be just a privileged popular nepo baby. don't know if I'll finish this, some intense eyerolling from the amount of namedropping. about didion, she increasingly seems to me just a pick me snob.
