How is it that everytime I read a Henry book, I feel so seen and undersood that I start to suspect Henry has a direct line to my life and brain.

Ugh I have to go to work and pretend to give a shit about anything other than this book right now.

I would like to just stay in all day and read this book (that’s how strong the first few chapters are) but alas I have be an “adult” and go to work and keep up with my social engagements.

How is this good? Am I reading the same book as everyone else?

Going to be spending a month or two reading more classics. Starting with eldest Ms Brontë, Austen and Mansfield, before I move on to the dead white guys.

Round 2 to me trying to you read this. That’s been the themed of the month, cleaning up the DNF section. Mostly because almost all my DNFs are a result of life laughing at unreasonable reading plans I make. Here is hoping I get past Pg. 75.

Restarting this. Hopefully I finish it this time.

This book is not at all what I expected. So ready to dnf it. I don’t do well with 2nd hand embarrassment and with all the the lying Yinka is doing, it is only a matter time before everything comes crashing down

Thoughts at the moment: Nothing better happen to Bob! (the pet black Labrador)

I am always wary of pets in thrillers. I think I am predisposed to hate any book that hurts animals. So for the sake of my emotional stability, let’s hope nothing happens to Bob.

Works been crazy, so I have had to chip away at this little by little. Wish I could sit at home and read all week.

New fave? Possibly. Very very promising so far

Tolstoy is a whole big mood. Reading this, savoring this in tiny chucks. Every time, I am transported to a place I have never been and yet it feels so intimately familiar.
