This is definitely a book where I think people should hold off reading if they're "in a bad place in life". And while, I'm fine... really I am! This book is powerful enough that I keep finding my thoughts wandering down some negative avenues, so to speak.

This is way different than what I thought it was gonna be, but it's really good! Slow burn, taking its time, but I definitely feel the creeping dread. Hopefully there's a rewarding payoff

I think I'm gonna stop here. It's definitely not a bad book, I'm just not feeling it. Almost a hundred pages in, and I'm not clicking with these characters. Sorry JHJ

My first JHJ read, though I have a few of his books. Still adjusting to the writing and the characters. Hasn't quite hooked me yet, but I'm not quite ready to abandon ship... I guess you could say I'm still finding my sea legs... okay, I'm done with the puns.
