This is hilarious

Her writing is so good. This is going to be a favorite of the year.

Not sure if I'll finish this. It's so one sided- calls Israel "genocidal" in the 1982 siege, but acts like the PLO are freedom fighters, failing to mention they've conducted horrific acts of terrorism for decades on Israel prior to this, using Beirut as their home base with implied permission of the government. Hezbollah not mentioned at all. Hijackings, massacres, road/hotel/rocket attacks? Nothing???

I can not read another page about these horrible people. Jonah is the only decent person and functioning adult- and he's the 15 year old out of foster care. How can no one lovingly welcome him? Even the grandparents with their happy relationship?

These stories are so good. I'm drawn into each one.

Her constant spending and avoidance of lenders is stressing me out. Is she going to have an epiphany soon?

Really enjoying this historical fiction, written as Geoffrey Chaucer's journal.

This is me breaking up with Margaret Atwood. I'm 0 for 2 with her heavy-handed style and content. (The other was Oryx and Crake). Could you just beat me over the head with your ideas one more time? She has plenty of fans, so this won't hurt any feelings.

I love Heather Lende- why didn't she narrates this herself?

Isn't this basically Owen Meany? I'm not very far in yet but I'm seeing many parallels.

This book is delightfully funny (audio all the way)!

This is going to be one of my favorite audiobooks ever. I will listen to Kieron Elliott read anything. Unfortunately, the only other thing he's narrated is a ridiculous looking romance...

It is so gratifying to be able to read this book just a month after finishing the 3rd instead of waiting 3 years! 🤗

Sweet merciful heavens! This is one of the saddest books I've ever read and it's only 2 chapters in! Really well written and even funny at times though
