I was expecting this to be extremely silly but still could not get past the INCREDIBLE sillyness, written very seriously, of the main character’s “job”, it also annoyed me how unlikable the main character comes across and I didn’t much care for any of the characters. Did not finish. I like a silly gay romance sometimes as much as the next person but this was not it for me

wow it’s almost been 10 years since I first read mary oliver! I haven’t touched a poetry book in years but had a lot of customers asking for recs lately and realised I have a huge poetry shelf and a lot of opinions haha.

anyway, lovely as always. like a lot of the time with poets I love 8 out of 10 poems are absolutely mesmerizing and the rest make me question poetry as a medium .. it varies which is which lol

I LOVE casey mcquiston and I wanted so badly to love this book but omg how do I say this. this book. has no plot??? I am fighting for my life getting through it. I thought I’d made it at least 70% surely but I have only listened to two hours and have another EIGHT to go?! It’s also unbearably American. I’m sorry but the way I laughed at “heatwave” in Italy and “36 celsius” asdfg. Sincerely, a European

he writes really beautifully and incredible honest and vulnerable, but I am so confused about the order of this book and his life? is there any order at all? maybe I’m just not following? help

Though I admit I only bought this because of the blurb by Samantha Shannon I am so far disappointed. The main characters incitement to kick off the whole book is WAY too weak, I don’t believe any of it, it makes no sense. I don’t really care for any of the characters, they aren’t given much personality so far. The writing is too detailed which makes it feel really slow. Please tell me it gets better?
