Pg. 25 In a section about the 1940s - "Industrial production during the Great Depression lagged amid the economic crisis spurred by the protracted conflict." This is entirely false- the 1929 Wall Street Crash and the Dust Bowl left the 1930s as a time of great economic depression known as The Great Depression. The Second World War lead to many jobs, in munitions and factories and the armed forces.

This is dire. Look at the chapter headings if you don't agree "A Shocking Confession", "Another Shocking Confession". The characters are very difficult to remember, apart from having odd names, (Nash, Austin, Belty, Oliver, Thirza etc) they are all difficult to tell apart.
