Am I going insane or is the past tense of drag most certainly not “drug” 🧐

I’m giving it five more chapters. I just don’t know if this book is for me.

Chapter 1 and lowkey had to check to see if this was the first book, I’m so confused

As much as I think it would be interesting to read anyone’s diary…this has made me realize I actually never want to. Some thoughts should be kept buried and never see the light of day.

I really like the voice and pacing of this book. It’s giving The Bell Jar but in Germany.

This I literally so dumb and if I didn’t need another book for my goal sheet I would dnf it.

The pacing of this book sucks

How long is it appropriate for me to wait to reread TOG? Because when I say I think about it everyday, that’s an understatement.
Past me said life’s too short to reread books. I was wrong and would like to publicly redact that statement.

I love you Sarah Adam’s for writing a book that, once again, depicts mature and emotionally responsible characters.

A chapter should not be 42 pages long

Who wants to bet they’re going to get stuck in the archives 🙄 there’s a difference between foreshadowing and straight up telling Yarros.

Great so because violet ‘can’t stand lying to her friends’ and because Rhi saves her and essentially all marked ones, violet decides to doom them all by telling not her but THREE people everything of whom cannot protect themselves against Dain…so basically she is telling the whole world. (Aelin would never.)

I can’t help but compare this to TOG because I literally just read it. This book is like eating stale oatmeal from an expired Quaker Oats package with cold high calcium-ified water. Whereas TOG was like enjoying a five course meal with incredible company whilst listening to live music orchestrated by Hans Zimmer. Is the oatmeal that bad or only because of having experienced luxury? Answer? It’s that bad.
