Well it seems I've reached step 5 of a 9 step program.

When a book has me highlighting and writing notes I know it's one I'll be thinking over for a while.

Track 20 all about learning the importance of considering others feelings. My favourite chapter so far, as I understand all his reservations about feelings, while knowing how much they mean to me.

Love it so much I ordered a copy for my self but accidentally chose book 1. I had to send back on interlibrary loan so may still order book 11 to finish.

For some reason I had the idea this was a memoir. And despite her being born the same year as me I keep having to remind myself that this all happens in the 90's. My brain wanta to visualise it as 50's? Because it's English maybe or I've been watching too many historical films lateky.?

I love it when the ideas in my books overlap.
Both this and "Everything is f*cked" are talking about how beliefs are formed and changed. Facts change belief was both their original opinions. But no-one ever changes someone's mind by stating your version of facts because we are feeling driven, and our values change through experience that triggers feelings.
