It is a really important book, and I think it is crucial for everyone to be aware of self compassion. But when it comes to how it is written, it is too repetitive. I think it would be as good as it is with 80-100 less pages

The only reason people like this book is because the cases are really interesting. But John is a self-center, sexist person, he writes long pages about little girls being raped (and called them pretty, or mature for there age) but then give 2 paragraphs to other interesting cases about boys. It's just badly written in every way.
