I thought it would be yearning but turns out it’s more a love at first sight that well ended in friend zone. I liked the writing though. Will surely read more Dostoyevsky now.

I really like reading this because it's such a fast read and I'm enjoying myself. But, I'm having a hard time enjoying this because... I'm a Grayson stan. And I'm really not a fan of Jameson. I don't hate him. I just prefer Gray. 🥺

This is a very well crafted novel but at the same time, it feels so heavy while reading. I can feel my heart break.

Finally a reread! Listened to this on audio but I wanted to annotate the book so here we are.

I want to be kind to this book and just dnf it instead of giving this a low rating and an angry review. This is not bad (obviously) but I’m just not connecting with the story and the characters. And I don’t really like teenage boys so yeah. Not sure if I’ll get back to this again since these are a lot of pages.

I'm not saying this is the best piece of literature or even mystery that I've read but hats off to the author because she can write to excite and keep you reading. I can't stop!

This reads like Daenerys in the Attack on Titan world with a Divergent storyline/scenarios. And I’m not saying this in a fond way. (I mourn the time I’ve spent reading the whole Divergent series. 🥲)
